Caroline recently completed her MSc from the University of Ottawa in the lab of Dr. Maxime Rousseaux where she characterized a novel mouse model of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). Before moving to Ottawa, she obtained a BSc with Honours in Neuroscience at the University of Alberta where she had diverse research experience in diabetic neuropathy, stroke, and breast cancer.
Now she has joined the Lochmuller lab as a PhD student in Cellular and Molecular Medicine. She is excited to be working on the Brain-Heart Interconnectome project to investigate the systemic nature of Myotonic Dystrophy Type I using iPSCs.
