Logan earned his BSc in biomedical sciences from the University of Ottawa, and joined Dr. Lochmüller’s clinical research team in August 2026 as a Clinical Research Assistant. His undergraduate education provided him a scientific foundation and experience following research protocols, handling biological samples, maintaining accurate records, and working in a laboratory environment. Before joining the team, Logan worked at Parks Canada as a Lock and Bridge Operator on the Rideau Canal, where he became passionate about engaging and serving the public. He also volunteered for the Rajakumar Lab at the University of Ottawa, and assisted with experiments involving the collection, selection and treatment of ant larvae. These experiences along with his background in biomedical sciences drew Logan to the field, where he can combine contributing to research with meaningful human interaction. He is looking forward to assisting with clinical trials focused on neuromuscular diseases while working directly with patients and healthcare professionals at the Neuromuscular Centre.
