Jian-Jun Jia worked as a Research Assistant in the Lochmüller Lab from 2019-2020, using molecular biology and tissue culturing techniques to study neuromuscular disease. He now works as a Laboratory Technician at the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Jian-jun finished his MSc in microbiology (Virology) at the University of Montreal, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Following this, he joined the lab of Professor Earl Brown as a research assistant at the University of Ottawa. In 2014, he started working in the lab of Dr Tommy Alain of the CHEO Research Institute.
