Claudia joined Dr. Lochmüller’s clinical research team June 2026 as a Clinical Research Assistant.
She holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a specialization in Population and Public Health from the University of Ottawa. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Claudia gained experience in rehabilitation, patient care, health promotion, and community outreach. Before joining the lab, she worked as a Student Athletic Trainer supporting injury prevention and rehabilitation for varsity athletes and as a Physiotherapy Assistant in a rehabilitation clinic. She also worked as a STEM Outreach Instructor with Actua, delivering science education programs to children and youth in remote and Indigenous communities across Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, and northern Alberta.
Building on these experiences, Claudia developed a strong interest in clinical research and the opportunity to improve patient care. She is excited to continue learning while contributing to research that advances care for people living with neuromuscular diseases.
