Mahsa is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Neuromuscular Centre, working with Dr. Hanns Lochmüller’s clinical research team at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI). She plays an active role in coordinating clinical trials and supporting research focused on advancing therapies for neuromuscular disorders.Mahsa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery from Iran (2016) and a Master’s degree in Genetic Counselling from Italy (2022). Her interdisciplinary background combines clinical care with genetics, providing a strong foundation for translational research. Her master’s research focused on innovative applications of Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) for monogenic disorders.Passionate about bridging scientific discovery and patient-centred care, Mahsa is dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals and families affected by rare neuromuscular diseases. She is committed to advancing clinical research through collaboration, innovation, and compassionate patient engagement.In recognition of her dedication to research excellence and patient care, Mahsa received the Gratitude Award Pin from The Ottawa Hospital.Mahsa is excited to contribute to the development of emerging therapies by coordinating clinical trials alongside Dr. Hanns Lochmüller and the Neuromuscular Centre research team, helping bring innovative treatments closer to patients.
