Kelly Ho Receives Poster Award at World Muscle Society Congress

Congratulations to PhD researcher Kelly Ho, whose poster presentation “Investigating muscle specific kinase antibody treatment for Agrn and ColQ Congenital Myasthenia Syndromes” received one of the prestigious Elsevier runner up awards at the 2024 World Muscle Society congress in Prague, Czech Republic!

 

Dr Lola Lessard Receives Best Research Poster Award at Western Canadian Neuromuscular Conference

Congratulations to TOH fellow Dr Lola Lessard, whose poster presentation “Metabolic defects in Type 1 Myotonic Dystrophy: a potential therapeutic target” received the award for best research poster at the Western Canadian Neuromuscular Conference (WCNMC) research symposium this past September!

Ottawa Neuromuscular Fellows from TOH and CHEO Attended the Western Canadian Neuromuscular Conference

This past September 27-29, neuromuscular fellows from clinical training programs in Ottawa Drs Astrid Eisenkölbl, Lola Lessard and Joaquin Machado had the opportunity to attend the WCNMC in Calgary, AB. There, our fellows had a chance to meet and network with trainees and senior clinicians and researchers from the neuromuscular community, and attend the rich program of clinical practice and translational research updates.
